This learning activity will take you through one medical facility’s process of connecting their institution’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with its smart infusion pumps, allowing for seamless data transfer between the two systems, ultimately aiming to improve patient safety by minimizing medication errors through automated programming and documentation of infusion details directly within the EHR.
